World-renowned expertise combined with the personal vision of one of music's best-known figures makes Sir George Martin's AIR Studios a unique, inspirational recording environment.

Since the first AIR Studios in Oxford Street and AIR Montserrat, to the current premises at Lyndhurst Hall, AIR has recorded many of the world's most celebrated artists and most of the memorable film scores of the last four decades. With matchless facilities for all aspects of film music production and home to some of the finest and most experienced engineering talent, the excellent scoring stages and mix rooms are complimented by all the extras required to support the most complex of projects.

Lyndhurst Hall comfortably accommodates an orchestra of 80, along with a full choir in the galleries, and features one of the worlds finest control rooms for surround sound music recording and mixing.

Studio 1 features a control room equipped with a totally unique analogue mixing console, the result of collaboration between legendary console designer Rupert Neve and the best known music producer of all time, AIR’s founder Sir George Martin. The beautiful live room will accommodate an ensemble of 40 or more players and has seen many classic albums recorded within it.

Studio 2 is a 5.1 equipped mix room featuring an 80 channel SSL G plus console with Ultimation, and has been the mixing environment of choice for hundreds of film scores and albums and for many high profile artists.

Studio 3 is a state of the art audio post production dub-stage, equipped with an AMS DFC Gemini digital film console and is principally used for mixing feature film and high end TV drama soundtracks. There are numerous other tracklay and pre-mix rooms available at AIR for audio post.

AIR Mastering is home to award winning mastering engineers Ray Staff and Matt Colson, and is one of the best equipped audio mastering departments in the world. From 5.1 for Blu Ray to cutting the best sounding vinyl, AIR mastering delivers the ultimate in audio quality for finishing a project.
